MY SHERI CRAFTS CHALLENGE #55 - MOTHER'S DAY

At MY SHERI CRAFTS we are celebrating "MOTHER'S DAY"!  I wanted to do something extra nice for my mother this year and picked some amazing papers from my DCWV Green Tea Stack.
This paper is SO cool because it has some foil green leaves and is very elegant looking.  The center stamp is from JustRite Vintage Oval Labels Cling set and stamped with Momento Bamboo Leaves.  The sentiment is from JustRite Original Heart to Heart Large Oval set and stamped with Momento Tuxedo Black.
I hand-cut the stamped layer and cut the border from the largest Spellbinders Labels Thirteen.  I also decorated the inside a bit with some Inkadinkado Clear Stamps.  I hope she like it!?!

JustRite Friday Challenge #53 - FLOWER TECHNIQUE

I took a vacation day today and I managed to get TWO projects done already!  For my second post today, I was trying to get my card done in time for JustRite's Friday Challenge.  This challenge was sponsored by Spellbinders and they wanted us to make our own flowers!  I have never really made these layered flowers and I wasn't sure whether they should be rounded up or down??  (I guess it's like the toilet paper roll delima...over or under...it's OVER people!!!)  Well, after I made my flowers I thought that I probably should have turned the petals in but I think they are nice anyway and I didn't have time for any others!
I used Heartfelt Creations Exclusive Posy die set and cut 2 sets onto lavender cardstock.  Then, I inked the edges with Versamark Stardust Glitter watermark pad (but you can'r really see it??)  I made several layers and glued them together and added a small pearl for the center.  The greenery is from Spellbinders Foliage collection and I inked with the same stardust pad for shine.
For the sentiment, I used JustRite Elegant Frames Cling and stamped with Momento Grape Jelly ink.  I colored in with my COPICs and added a few pearls and then added the sentiment from the same set in Momento Tuxedo Black ink.  Then, I popped it onto a dark purple cardstock cut with Spellbinders Labels Twenty that was stamped and clear embossed with a JustRite Kindness Cling set frame.  The butterfly is from the floral department.  This is really a LOT pretty in person...I wish I knew how to get pics of the shiny accents on the flowers and in the bg paper???

DP2 CHALLENGE #79

I was so excited that I was the Charisma Challenge last week and the sponsor was Make It Crafty!  I chose this great digital Kissing Booth image from their carnival collection that coordinates with Mo's carnival characters.  Of course, I HAD to choose Little Smooch to go with it but I also added the adorable Jojo the clown (I think he's smitten - LOL).  This was a perfect ensemble for this week's DP2 Carnival theme!  Don't you just LOVE the vibrant colors?!?
The papers are from American Crafts, the ticket is Tim Holtz and that red satin ribbon was a scrap I found on the floor (lucky).  I colored with my COPICs and added a little Sakura Stardust pen on her jewelry.
I popped Jojo beside the booth for dimension.  I had so much fun coloring these images...can't wait to do more!!!

The Shabby Tea Room #59

This week at The Shabby Tea Room the challenge is to create a project using the inspiration photo and butterflies!

We have a great inspiration photo and another great sponsor!   The DT received some great samples from stampfairy.com this week and you will want to check them out:

I love digi images because I can print extra flowers in all different sizes to create the rainbow of colors.  I chose Lenny Flowers3 and incorporated this week's inspiration photo:

I hope you can see how I used the image AND the inspiration photo.  It's not EXACT but I thought it made a wonderful Mother's Day card with his bouquet of flowers I colored with a rainbow of COPIC colors.  Here's the full photo:

I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the background and added a few Martha Stewart punched butterflies and a sentiment from JustRite Happy Everything Mini Tag Kit cut with a Spellbinders Fancy Tags die.

MY SHERI CRAFTS CHALLENGE #54 - 3D GIFT

I decided on a gift card holder geared towards a teenager for a possible graduation gift.  I cut the wrapper in a rectangle to wrap around the foil and placed a piece of dotted swiss Bazill paper inside to look like a crunch bar and punched the corner with my scalloped circle punch.  I created the word "CANDY" in SCAL.  Super simple and quick gift idea!

The Shabby Tea Room #58

This is for my DT project for The Shabby Tea Room: How "Egg"-cellent challenge.  There is a wonderful inspiration photo to help get those creative juices flowing.  We are asked to use PASTELS and STRIPES for this weeks challenge.  Here is the photo:

This week's sponsor is:

They have the most wonderful selection of ribbons, twine and buttons!  Look at this prize:

Isn't that yummy!?!

We were lucky enough to receive some samples to work with this week and I can't wait to visit the store for more!  Check it out HERE.

I started with a scrap piece of striped paper and used my Tim Holtz Distressing tool on the edges after inking them with Antique Linen Distress ink.  I layered the green herringbone and pink velvet ribbons and cut and inked leaves from my new Spellbinders Foliage set.
I stamped a frame and sentiment from Waltzing Mouse Fancy Phrases and cut with the coordinating Spellbinders Fancy Tags.  I then topped it off with a fluffy bow from soft yellow seam binding and a button tied with pink striped baker's twine.

CR84FN23 & MY SHERI CRAFTS #53

I almost missed this week's CR84FN Challenge because I thought it ended on saturday??  So, I had combines it with My Sheri Crafts Challenge and so I need to post it early for that challenge in order to beat the deadline.  I've had this made and waiting since Tuesday to post tomorrow - LOL

Here's my color and "bunnies" card:
I chose this super cute image from Mo Manning called Easter Bunny.  You can find it and many other wonderful images HERE.
I colored with my COPICs in these soft pale pinks and yellows for Easter.  Here's the color inspiration from CR84FN:

JustRite Friday Challenge #52 - COLOR & INSPIRATION

This week the JustRite Friday Challenge is a color & inspiration photo challenge.  This is very fun to see everyone's interpretation of the theme!  The photo is just dreamy:
I searched over my ENTIRE paper stock and could NOT find a single sheet of floral paper with these colors!?!  Those that have seen my stash would be gasping right now - LOL!  Well, I DID have some of this color but it isn't flowers *sigh* so it'll have to do for this challenge???  Here's my card using the four colors listed:
I had this card base sitting there waiting for my new JustRite charm dies to arrive but alas they have not.  So, I went a different route.  The yellow stars and accents in my paper AND one of the stripes in my ribbon were actually white before I colored them with my COPICs (they had to match!)
The sentiment center is from JustRite Forever Friends Cling set and the border is from JustRite Just A Note set stamped in Momento Canteloupe ink.  The stars are Spellbinders Nested Stars.

The Shabby Tea Room #57 - DOILIES AND LACE

As some of you might have read before, I was asked to be the Guest Designer over at The Shabby Tea Room for the month of April.  Well, my first project was posted last week and I was all set for my 2nd week when Debbie (the creator of The Shabby Tea Room) emailed and asked if I would be interested in filling a spot for them full-time on their Design Team!?  I am so EXCITED and HONORED to have been chosen to be a part of this AWESOME team!  Everyone has been so great!  I hope you will "follow" me on this journey and join in on the challenges.  So, let's get started!!

This week's sponsor is:

Our little shop Cupcake Cards & Crafts is full of beautiful and trendy papers for card making and paper crafting. Website address is http://www.cupcakecardcraft.co.uk/
Instant and affordable downloadable papers and lots more.

Cupcake Card Craft will be offering this beautiful digital paper pack to this week's lucky winner ...
These colors are great and they have so many others to chose from so be sure and visit them for instant downloads of their papers!

Here's the inspiration photo this week:
The theme this week at The Shabby Tea Room is "Doilies and Lace".  These can be paper, fabric, stamps or whatever you can think of!  Here's what I came up with:
The soft colors in the paper reminded me of the soft colors in the photo and that's where I started.  The lace square is simply strips of lace layed out in the form of a square.  I attached it to a Spellbinders Lacey Square and stitched around the edges.  I added a lace flower along with flowers from Prima and Recollections and a ticket from Tim Holtz collection.
The sentiment is from Justrite You Inspire Me Cling set and surrounded by Spellbinders Floral Doily Motifs  die cut in a soft lilac cardstock.  For a little bling, I put together a hat pin with a butterfly bead and some pearl flourishes from Recollections.

MY SHERI CRAFTS CHALLENGE #52 - BUTTONS

I couldn't resist using this American Crafts paper I've had forever for this BUTTONS challenge this week!  I decided to do a card for a new baby.
The border punch is EK Success Slim Edger Button Chain Punch and it was PERFECT too!  I also used a Martha Stewart Scallop Doily Punch (I use it a lot) and stitched on my sewing machine to pink cardstock.
JustRite Stampers always has the perfect stamp for whatever theme we've got going on and this was no exception.  I chose a center from JustRite Stitched With Love 2-3/8" and accented with some COPICs.  I popped it on top of a Spellbinders Floral Doily Motifs die.  TFL!

The Shabby Tea Room #56 - SPRING COLORS

This month I will be a GUEST DESIGNER
at THE SHABBY TEA ROOM!  WOOHOO!!
This week's challenge is a COLOR CHALLENGE inspired by this photo:

I had a little trouble with this one and finally gave up since nothing was turning out the way I wanted??  I had just received my new Spellbinders Pennants and Lacey Pennants and wanted to try something with them and the striped purple egg was my main focus.  I really have a hard time with doing a mostly "white" card, however, that is what "spoke" to me about the picture.  Here's my "mostly white with a splash of color" card:
I embossed the pennant center to mimic the texture in some of the eggs in the photo with my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder.  The sentiment is from Justrite Happy Everything Mini Tag set and was stamped directly onto my card base with Momento Tuxedo Black ink.  I added some Prima Flowers, a fabric doily and some lace to top it off.  I hope to do a little better job next week so please "FOLLOW" me and get going on your entry too!  TFL!

MY SHERI CRAFTS CHALLENGE #51 & WHOOPSI DAISY

This week I decided to combine these two challenges because this image for WHOOPSI DAISY - GLITTER and GLITZ fit so perfectly with the theme at MY SHERI CRAFTS - APRIL SHOWERS!

I started with this great sentiment from JustRite My Rainbow Large Ovals set and stamped onto paper from American Crafts Backyard 12 x 12 set.  There's another scrap of paper with the rain boots in the background that you barely see but it's super cute!  The image is Whoopsi Daisy Sheet215 you can purchase here.
I colored the image with my COPICs and added a little Stickles Waterfall for glitz!  TFL!
