The Shabby Tea Room #64 - (Recipe 2-4-6)

Charlene has a great recipe for us this week at The Shabby Tea Room where our sponsor this week is JustRite Stampers (one of my favorites)!  The recipe is as follows:

2- designer papers
4- buttons
6- layers

I chose this set from JustRite Hope Borders & Centers 2" Square Original and stamped the center onto a cream colored Twinchie and then cut both with Spellbinders Labels One.  The papers are Graphic 45 Once Upon A Springtime

Here is this week's inspiration photo:

I hope you will take the time to join us this week and check out some more inspiration from the other DT blogs:

WHOOPSI DAISY- LACE and RIBBON

This should be a fun one for everyone this week at WHOOPSI DAISY CHALLENGES!  I, however, have to admit that the concept was better in my head than it turned out on my card??  I started with this image from sheet29.  I think she is just ADORABLE and thought that my Poppy Red Flower Soft would go great with this!

I wish you could see more of this BEAUTIFUL paper from DCWV but that's just how it worked out this week??  I colored with my COPICs and cut with Spellbinders Labels One.

MY SHERI CRAFTS CHALLENGE #59 - May Flowers 1-2-3

It's our last chance to fit in a "MAY FLOWERS" challenge and we're throwing in a recipe too!  The recipe is: 1-button, 2-designer papers, 3-flowers.
I needed a card for a wedding I'm going to tomorrow and have been wanting to try the zipper flowers so this fit in perfectly!!!  I took my zipper, unzipped it and cut it in half.  Then, I took a needle and thread and proceeded to sew a slip stitch in the edge without the teeth so I could gather it to form the spiral.  As I was doing this, (I don't EVER sew and I had to go buy a needle and thread for this project - LOL!) I must've stabbed my finger a hundred times so, needless to say, I only made the one flower??
I used my trusty JustRite Elegant Frames Cling set and heat embossed the sentiment in black.  Then I cut using Spellbinders Labels Ten.  The other flowers were cut using Heartfelt Creations Posy Patch Exclusive Die and the flower center is a Recollections Flower.  I then inked the flowers with Versamark Stardust Watermark pad and added a little Stickles too.
For the inside, I stamped another sentiment from the same cling set and added a few flourished before I cut with a larger Spellbinders Labels Ten.

The Shabby Tea Room #63 - SWEET BABY!

The Shabby Tea Room is celebrating "BABIES" this week!  It never hurts to have one of these cards on hand for that last minute gift!

Our sponsor(s) this week is:

They are generously offering 4 IMAGES for the TOP PRIZE from EITHER store!

I chose this adorable image called Good Night.  I actually only used the mobile portion of the image and printed it twice.  Then, I colored with my COPICs and cut the mobile parts by hand and popped up with foam dots.  The sentiment is a dollar stamp but it is surrounded by a stamp from JustRite Charms Cling Border and coordinating JustRite Charm Die.   I also added a Spellbinders Nested Duck (because I think they're SO CUTE!)  Here is the inspiration photo this week:

The sentiment is a 1-5/8" JustRite Just A Note Center popped onto a new JustRite Charm Cling stamp and cut with the coordinating JustRite Exclusive Charm Die set and also colored with my COPICs.

MY SHERI CRAFTS CHALLENGE #58 - Memorial Day/Victorian Day

We are celebrating Memorial Day this week at MY SHERI CRAFTS!  It was brought to my attention that not everyone knows of this holiday, so we decided to open it up to Flowers also.  I decided to incorporate the patriotic colors in my card with stamped flowers.
The stamp is JustRite The Greatest Joy Large Oval Borders and Centers.  I colored the image with my COPICs and popped it on a piece of blue cardstock that I heat embossed the border in white.  They were both cit with Spellbinders Classic Ovals.  The white background is embossed with my Cuttlebug Grace's Frame.
This was a pretty quick and simple card but I love the crispness of it!  TFL!!

JustRite Friday Challenge #55 - Color Challenge

When I saw the colors this week over at JustRite Friday Challenge, I knew EXACTLY what papers I would choose because I had recently picked up a DCWV Linen Closet Mat Stack.  It was PERFECT!

I used JustRite Stitched with Love 2-3/8" set, (which on sale right now for $10.00!) and stamped with brown ink.  I did not have the actual colors mentioned in the color reference so I used some that were close.  Here's the photo:

I absolutely LOVE these colors and they are so pretty together.  I may have to work up another one (or two) for this challenge - lol!  Here's a close-up of the stamps:

I used Spellbinders Octagon and Classic Circles to cut the main image.  The brown trim was cut and then crimped with my Marvy Straight Crimper.

The Shabby Tea Room #62 - Monochromatic

This week over at The Shabby Tea Room we are having a Monochromatic challenge.  This is VERY easy!  All you need to do is pick a color and use only that color (and a neutral: white, cream, black).
I chose gold and white with leaves to resemble this week's inspiration photo but you may do whatever colors you wish.  Here's this week's photo:
The first thing I noticed was the gold leaves, and I knew that I had some handmade paper with gold leaves on it, so I went on the hunt through all my papers.  I created a super glitzy card that could be used for a wedding or anniversary.
I embossed the white panel with Cuttlebug Leaves but it's a little hard to see??  The sentiment is JustRite Birthday Centers 1-5/8" with a border from JustRite Seeds of Kindness 1-5/8".  This was popped onto a Spellbinders Labels Twenty frame stamped with coordinating JustRite Kindness Cling stamp and heat embossed in gold.

The Shabby Tea Room #60

We are having another great challenge at The Shabby Tea Room this week.  It is sponsored by Robyn's Fetish and the DT got to choose some great images to use as inspiration this week.  I chose this sweet image called "Good Night Princess".
I started with the inspiration photo:
Such a lovely photo to inspire you this week when you are to use blue and white or neutral!  I embossed the blue background with my Cuttlebug Embossing Folder Kassie's Brocade and then cut and embossed the centerpiece from Spellbinders Classic Frame and inked while still in the die.  I printed the image on a piece of transparency and then colored the back of the image with my COPICs to give it a mirror like effect.
It's a little hard to see in the photo but has a great look in person.  A little Martha Stewart eyelet border, flowers, ribbon, bow and button and we'll call it a day - LOL!

WHOOPSI DAISY - NO LAYERS

** EXCITING NEWS **

I have been asked to be a part of the AMAZING Design Team at Whoopsi Daisy and this is my first project at my new home!  I have to say that it is DEFINITELY a challenge this week with "No Layers" but with a little imagination (and these super cute images) anything is possible!!
I used a transparency sheet to form my card base and simply tied some soft ribbon and a bow on the front.  I colored my image from sheet9 with my COPICs in shades of pink to match and attached it also on the front.
For the center, I printed the sentiment with my computer onto pink cardstock and attched to the inside.  Such a simple card but I REALLY like how it turned out!  TFL!
