The Shabby Tea Room #94 - A Colorful & Shabby New Year

Can you BELIEVE it's almost 2012?!?  Boy, how times flies!!  For THE SHABBY TEA ROOM challenge, I was SO EXCITED to get my Creating with Vintage Patterns and Illustrations CDs from our sponsor this week at Crafty Secrets!  How generous!!  These CDs are AMAZING as well as the rest of the products on the Crafty Secrets site HERE!!  This week we are to create a card/project using the inspiration photo and the colors red, blue, yellow and green.

There were SO MANY wonderful images to choose from on these CDs and ultimately decided on a couple patterns and a couple elements that I combined in Photoshop before printing.  Here is a close-up of the graphic layered images:

This heart frame would be great for layouts too!!  I added a simple stamped sentiment cut with Spellbinders Banner die.  Here is the inspiration photo:

The Shabby Tea Room #93 - A Krafty Christmas

This week, over at THE SHABBY TEA ROOM, we are asking you to create a card/project using red, kraft, newsprint plus silver paper and a star.  Here's my card:

I chose "JJ Xmas Cheer - Wrapped Up" from our sponsor this week:

This should be an easy one for the holidays!  It's hard to tell in the photo but I used mirror paper for the star and I just LOVE the way it shines!  Here is a different angle:

I colored the image with my COPICs and used Spellbinders Nested Large Rectangles to cut.  The sentiment was included with the image and I simply backed with Spellbinders Pinking Cirle and added a rhinestone cirle.  This was SO SIMPLE!

The Shabby Tea Room #092 - The Stocking Were Hung

Are you ready for the holidays??  Well, I'm not!!!  BUT, this card for THE SHABBY TEA ROOM where we were to create a card/project inspired by the inspiration photo with a holiday stocking on it sure put me in the mood....

I just LOVE this pretty green paper with gold foil accents!  The ADORABLE stamp is from our sponsor this week:

It is appropriately named "Every Stocking Counts" and was PERFECT for this challenge!  I added LOTS of Stickles after coloring with my COPICs and inking the edges a bit with Ranger Antique Linen Distress Ink.  Here is a close-up of the details:

The patterned gown and plaid stockings were paper pieced and sentiment was stamped in the lower right corner.  Here is the inspiration photo:

WHOOPSI DAISY - Sparkle and Shine

It's time to "Sparkle &Shine" over at WHOOPSI DAISY this week!  I used an image from sheet306 to make this very festive card:

 I chose this beautiful striped paper that was already accented with some great glitter on the red stripes.  I added Stickles to her wings and ruffles under her skirt and my gold foil pen for the star and halo.

I colored the image with my COPICs and left it a simple design so the image would take center stage!  I wish the pictures did it justice...it's really quite sparkly in person!

The Shabby Tea Room #91 - The Magic of Christmas

This week, over at THE SHABBY TEA ROOM, we are asking you to create a card/project using pink, gold, neutrals plus flowers and snowflakes.

I chose "The Mittens" from our sponsor this week:

I colored the images with my COPICs and added little punched snowflakes covered in irredescent glitter to the top of each mitten.  The image originally had hearts there but I modified in Photoshop before printing out.  Here is a close-up:

WHOOPSI DAISY - Snowflakes

It's snowing over at WHOOPSI DAISY this week and all the girls have made some wonderful winter creations for you!  I used an image from sheet265 this week to make a unique gift bag:

 I combined some scraps of paper and ribbon along with a Martha Stewart snowflake ribbon punch and topped it off with a glittery snowflake ornament.

I colored the image with my COPICs and added a little gold foil pen to match the gold in the paper.  Next, I cut with Spellbinders and popped front and center onto the bag!  A simple way to add that something special to a plain brown bag!
