The Shabby Tea Room #73 - Mix & Match

The challenge at The Shabby Tea Room this week is to create a card/project mixing and matching pattern papers, use at least 3 different patterned papers (or make your own 3).

I mixed 2 adorable images, "Splash of Fun" & "Diving Candace", from this week's sponsor Chi Chi Memories.  You can get them both and more in this money-saving set here.

I used papers from DCWV to resemble water and bubbles and colored with my COPICs.

A few clear circular sticker accents make the perfect bubbles!

The Shabby Tea Room #72 - Relax & Enjoy

One of my FAVORITE sponsors this week at THE SHABBY TEA ROOM is JustRite Stampers!  The challenge this week is to create card/project using yellow, pink, green and neutral(s).
I used JustRite Be Happy center cut with Spellbinders Labels One and surrounded with Want2Scrap Nestabling Labels One.
I took inspiration from the photo and added a pearl flourish and 2 punched butterflies from Martha Stewart.  Here's the inspiration photo:

WHOOPSI DAISY- Anything but Square

This was a great challenge at WHOOPSI DAISY for me this week because I hardly ever make shaped cards and it forced me out of my comfort zone.  I used this little boy image from sheet268.
I flipped the image horizontally so it would fit the card better.  I love that you can resize and flip digital images!  The card was cut twice from Cricut Boys Will Be Boys Cartridge and layered to put the sentiment inside:
I stamped the inside with JustRite Times New Roman font in black ink.
I cut the other layers in various papers and colored the image with my COPICs and popped it onto the front of the card.  I hope you will join us in this challenge this week!  TFL!!

We're having a party at MY SHERI CRAFTS this week!  I had so much fun making this banner for my cousin's new grandbaby!  This project was full of firsts for me!
This was the first time using my Spellbinders Nested Pennants and Lacey Pennants and also my first time making rosettes!  I decided to do the banner in all pastel colors since they don't know the sex of the baby yet.
The yellow one was hard to photograph???
I chose 4 pastel pieces of cardstock and then stamped with coordinating Watzing Mouse Vintage Banner gingham stamp with Versamark watermark ink.  Next, I heat embossed with white and placed on a white lacey background.  The centers are stamped with JustRite Monogram borders and centers and accented with circular rhinestones.  This is a little on the small side since the largest pennant is only 4" x 6" but I plann to add to the banner later to make it longer.

I am starting a new series today where I will be featuring a new Whimsy Stamp every week on wednesday.  The first image is from Meljen's Digital Stamps called Pirate Polly.  I used what I thought were typical pirate colors:
There is a whole collection of these fun little pirate-themed images at the WHIMSY STORE and you can find them here.  Doesn't that lace remind you of a pirate shirt?!?  LOVE IT!!  I couldn't decide what colors to use on the parrot but went with just shades of green and yellow but I think it would look great in a myriad of colors!

During the month of JULY, all digital stamps are 25% off!!  What a great deal and such a selection!  Be sure to check back here next week for another Whimsy design next wednesday!!  TFL!!

The Shabby Tea Room #71 - 'CHARM' ING

The challenge at The Shabby Tea Room was a little challenging for this week. We are suppose to use a charm in our design and I have never done anything with a charm before so I didn't have any in my stash??
The heart charm I used is actually a lone earring I found in a drawer and thought it would be perfect!
Our sponsor this week is WHIMSIE DOODLES and this adorable images is from their "Sentiment-edibles" collection.  These fruit images are great and come with these cute matching sentiments.
As usual, I colored with my COPICs and cut with Spellbinders Classic Circles and Eyelet Circles.  Looks good enough to eat, huh?!?  I hope you will join us...here's this week's inspiration photo:

This week at WHOOPSI DAISY it's time to sparkle and shine!  I chose one of my favorite color combos for this one and, of course, these adorable ballerina images that Linnie creates make it so easy!
I never did ballet when I was young but I love these images anyway...they're SO CUTE!  This one is from sheet9 and I colored with coordinating COPICs.  The paper is from DCWV and didn't need much added because of the wonderful flourishes in different tones and glitter.
I hope you will join us for this challenge this week!!  TFL!!

I didn't exactly use the colors from the inspiration photo but I DID take inspiration from the wreath in my image.  I love digital images because you can take an oval image such as this one and make it more of a circle to fit your space.
This week's sponsor is Stitchy Bear.  The images I chose are "Floral Frame" and "BFFII".
Here's the inspiration photo this week:

Who doesn't love pink, right?!?  These Whoopsi Daisy images that Linnie has created just scream for a pretty pink pallette and this one from sheet137 is no exception!
The paper is from DCWV and I used Spellbinders Labels One with coordinating pink Nestabling rhinestones.  I added a few flowers and pretty rose ruffle ribbon from my stash.  I colored with my COPICs to match.

I am excited to contribute to a great cause this week and helping Mo Manning raise money for the Pet Orphans of Southern California by purchasing this DOLLAR DONATION DIGI called BRONTE KISSES.  If you're looking for something to add to MY SHERI CRAFTS CHALLENGE, please stop by and purchase this digi before time is up.  You can find it and more HERE.
I used DCWV Pet Stack for the paper and colored with my COPICs before cutting with Spellbinders Classic Circles.  The hearts are a Cuttlebug die.
This was just a very quick card!  I hope you will take time to join us for this challenge! TFL!!

The Shabby Tea Room #69 - Red, White & Blue

Well....I bet you thought you were finished with Red, White & Blue but we've got one more for you!  This week's sponsor is Robyn's Fetish and I picked this great summer image called Fruity Strawberries.
I printed out twice, colored with my COPICs and popped it to give dimension (one of my favorite things to do)!  Then, I and added a cute little sentiment from JustRite, a doily, some lace and ribbon and cut with Spellbinders Labels Five.  The red background is cut with Spellbinders Labels Seventeen.
Here is this week's inspiration photo:

This week at Whoopsi Daisy Challenges, it's hot, hot, hot!  I wasn't sure which direction to take this theme but decided on hot sunshine instead of hot sexy.  You can take it either way I think??  Here's what I have for you today:
This has got to be one of my favorite images on sheet223!  I found this paper that had the little flowers on it that reminded me of the little flowers in the outfit.  The paper is from Martha Stewart I think and the border punch is EK Success.  The sentiment is JustRite and I colored with my COPICs.
