MY SHERI CRAFTS CHALLENGE #113 - Happy Birthday America!

The challenge over at MY SHERI CRAFTS is to do a BIRTHDAY card and I just happened to need one for a good friend. Who doesn't need a birthday card handy - right?!?

I decided to try a chalkboard style card with some new white pigment ink I got. After stamping the frame from JustRite Birthday Vintage Labels Four, I decided it really wasn't white enough for me. I was gonna toss it out but I decided to take my white Sakura pen and trace the stamped image for a less precise look. I kinda like how my mistake turned out so I cut it out with JustRite Labels Four custom die and the oval in the reverse of black ink on white paper.

Some white flowers, a doily, some rhinestones and my last piece of polka dot ribbon finish this card off nicely - don't ya think?! This stamp set is becoming one of my FAVORITES and a definite must-have!

Very pretty! I have a friend that makes chalkboard posters. You should stop by and check them out as part of 3 Year Blogoversary.

Have a wonderful day,
Georgiana

This is beautiful, Sheri! You use those Just Rite stamps so well. I don't think I'll ever learn to make things this beautiful!

BEAUTIFUL, Sheri -- what a 'save' on a 'mistake'!!! Have to totally agree that I 'must have' that stamp set too!
What a beaut of a card, Sheri! I have yet to make a chalkboard card...but I have paper now and your inspiration!

You changed your profile photo. I like it. It says "I am retired, happy and sassy!" :)
