I have to admit that I have not actually created a mini album before and I was a little nervous. Although, I found it very easy to put together with the universal spine and there is no limit to the possibilities you can create. I wanted to give this album as a gift and I wanted the recipient to be able to customize it somewhat after they receive it so I didn’t want to go overboard on the embellishments.
I decorated the front with
Sweet Cottage Flowers Die,
Double Halo Oval Die and
Candlewick Classics Oval Die. Each page was also cut using coordinating papers for the front and leaving the back in the kraft. I used the
Woven Trellis Side Pocket Die to hold extra die cut elements to be added by the recipient later. It’s also a great place to tuck in a gift card or special mementos.

I decorated a couple pages with each of the
I Carry Your Heart 3D Layering Die and the
Double Halo Oval Die. These are great accent pieces. Another interesting element was the
3D Interactive Pivot Banner Die. It folds up and expands when the page opens up as shown in the photos below. This is a great size for some old photo booth photos.
Here are a few more pictures of some of the pages. As you can see, there is plenty of room to add bulky items to your project because of the way the spine is designed. And the buckle die that is included is perfect for keeping everything in its place!
I also created an A2 card with
Grateful Thankful Blessed 3D Layering Die and sentiment label created with the smallest
Double Halo Oval Die.
I hope you enjoyed this mini album gift idea today and it inspires you to create your own mini album to give as a gift or keep for yourself. You can find all the dies used in these projects here:
