JustRite Friday Challenge #120 - Chalkboard Birthday
It's time for another challenge here at JustRite Inspiration! I put a little twist on the standard birthday challenge by requesting you to use the chalkboard style in your birthday creation. I'm giving you a sneak peek at one of the releases later today called Cupcake Wishes Cling Stamp and made a colorful chalkboard card with turquoise and pink embossing powders.
I started by cutting the black frame from Spellbinders Majestic Labels Eight and Labels Eight. Next, I added the cupcake and the squiggles from Birthday Vintage Labels Four while heat embossing each color. I used a marker to color the flame of the candle and a white Faber Castell Stamper's Big Brush Pitt Pen to draw the border lines. A white pencil was used to doodle around and smudge to look more like real chalk.
I stamped the Iron Swirls Background in a darker shade onto turquoise cardstock and added a two-color sentiment (which I hand cut into a pennant style) and a pretty pink ribbon and bow. Come back in a few hours for another post with today's release of Large Birthday Party Sentiments.
