Side Step Card Featuring the Make a Scene Collection
Today I am showing a different way to coordinate some of the die sets in the Spellbinders Make a Scene Collection by Becca Feeken. I have created a step card to show the different layers of the scenes without actually using the Make a Scene Card Base die set. This card still uses 3 different sets from this collection: Make a Scene Cozy Home, Make a Scene Wedded Bliss & Make a Scene Elegant Adornments.
I researched several ideas online about how to make a step card and, after several attempts, I came up with this one having only 2 "steps". I have added a diagram at the bottom of the post to map out how I cut and folded mine. I hope that it helps!I know this is a different approach to these sets but I just cut off the excess tabs to make it work. I started with the Make a Scene Cozy Home die set and added the white fence to the back side of the first folded step with a piece of green dotted paper cut with a border punch for the grass. I then cut the House component twice (once in white and once in blue) and some more bushes out of solid green. Then I cut the "Home Sweet Home" sentiment, a few clouds, along with door and window details.
I cut more grass pieces and then cut the wedding couple in white glitter cardstock and tiny flowers in a rainbow of colors from the Make a Scene Wedded Bliss Set. I then accented each flower with tiny adhesive pearls.
I decided I needed something more on the tall left panel and added a tiny sentiment stamped on one of the labels from the Make a Scene Elegant Adornments set, a handmade flower and a few fishtail banners in coordinating colors.

The folded card measures 5" x 6-1/2" so it will fit in an envelope if needed but it is full of dimension!
I just love all these fun bright colors and the way all the Make a Scene Collections work well together to make so many combinations of scenes. I hope you like my inspiration today!****************
