Spellbinders Oct 2022 Large Die of the Month

Today I have a different take on the October 2022 Large Die of the Month called "Stitched Ornament Display" from Spellbinders. This one also features the Oct 2022 3D Embossing Folder of the Month called "Scattered Christmas" for the background and the Oct 2022 Small Die of the Month for the Sentiment.

As you can see below, my project looks nothing like the samples.

I thought the side pieces to the box looked like a candle and petal of the poinsettia looked like a flame so I started with that idea and took it from there. A little circle of vellum was added to the top for a glowing effect.

I then cut all the pieces for the floral spray on the bottom and went with a bold black embossed background.

Once all that was assembled I decided to cut the ornament in half to create a "bowl" for the candle. A simple sentiment and a few metal beads and this card was ready for it's photo shoot!
