JustRite Friday Challenge #53 - FLOWER TECHNIQUE
I took a vacation day today and I managed to get TWO projects done already! For my second post today, I was trying to get my card done in time for JustRite's Friday Challenge. This challenge was sponsored by Spellbinders and they wanted us to make our own flowers! I have never really made these layered flowers and I wasn't sure whether they should be rounded up or down?? (I guess it's like the toilet paper roll delima...over or under...it's OVER people!!!) Well, after I made my flowers I thought that I probably should have turned the petals in but I think they are nice anyway and I didn't have time for any others!
I used Heartfelt Creations Exclusive Posy die set and cut 2 sets onto lavender cardstock. Then, I inked the edges with Versamark Stardust Glitter watermark pad (but you can'r really see it??) I made several layers and glued them together and added a small pearl for the center. The greenery is from Spellbinders Foliage collection and I inked with the same stardust pad for shine.
For the sentiment, I used JustRite Elegant Frames Cling and stamped with Momento Grape Jelly ink. I colored in with my COPICs and added a few pearls and then added the sentiment from the same set in Momento Tuxedo Black ink. Then, I popped it onto a dark purple cardstock cut with Spellbinders Labels Twenty that was stamped and clear embossed with a JustRite Kindness Cling set frame. The butterfly is from the floral department. This is really a LOT pretty in person...I wish I knew how to get pics of the shiny accents on the flowers and in the bg paper???
