The Shabby Tea Room #56 - SPRING COLORS

This month I will be a GUEST DESIGNER
at THE SHABBY TEA ROOM!  WOOHOO!!
This week's challenge is a COLOR CHALLENGE inspired by this photo:

I had a little trouble with this one and finally gave up since nothing was turning out the way I wanted??  I had just received my new Spellbinders Pennants and Lacey Pennants and wanted to try something with them and the striped purple egg was my main focus.  I really have a hard time with doing a mostly "white" card, however, that is what "spoke" to me about the picture.  Here's my "mostly white with a splash of color" card:
I embossed the pennant center to mimic the texture in some of the eggs in the photo with my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder.  The sentiment is from Justrite Happy Everything Mini Tag set and was stamped directly onto my card base with Momento Tuxedo Black ink.  I added some Prima Flowers, a fabric doily and some lace to top it off.  I hope to do a little better job next week so please "FOLLOW" me and get going on your entry too!  TFL!

Ohhh, sooo BEAUTIFUL! I LOVE it -- especially that gorgeous fabric doily and how you've cut your Lacey Pennants on the diagonal! That gorgeous lace tops it all off perfectly too!

Congrats on the Guest DT Sheri, what a very wonderful and well deserved spot for you!

I LOVE this card, those banners are the prettiest I have ever seen, love the doily, love the colours. I think I might need to "lift" this one!
