JustRite Friday Challenge #126 - Don't Be So Negative!

I have a new challenge going on over at JustRite Inspiration - a new technique for me too! I was inspired by Darsie's video here: http://youtu.be/m5MuUU4N7F4. This was SO FUN!

I started out cutting the exact cut balloons from Large Birthday Party Sentiments SVG Digital Cut Download File from cream cardstock. Next, I cut a few scraps to place underneath my cuts and repeated with the candles. You couldn't really see the candles very clearly so I backed it with the yellow piece. Then, I added the teal strip behind the cutout only where the candle stem part was so the yellow would resemble a flame.

The sentiment is from Samantha Walker Cupcake Celebrations clear stamps. This is one of those happy mistakes. I was about to toss this "scrap" piece because I stamped with the wrong color of grey because when I tried to fix it by stamping over it in a darker shade, I was nowhere close to lining it up. BUT I LOVE IT!
