Amazing Paper Grace September Guest Designer
I am so excited to announce that through the month of September I will participating in a Guest Designer spot for Becca Feeken at Amazing Paper Grace. Every Wednesday you can pop over here to my blog for new inspiration using some of the latest Amazing Paper Grace dies by Spellbinders. Today, I am getting a jump on this Holiday season with a 3D card using the new Shapeabilities Grand Holiday Cabinet Etched Dies 3D Holiday Vignettes.
I have never done one of these 3D vignettes before because, quite frankly, they scared me! BUT, I couldn't believe how easy they really were to assemble!!! The hardest part was deciding which papers or colors to use.I couldn't resist using some patterned papers for this one. Some may think it too much but I just love all the interest it provides throughout each layer. It seems like you can see something different every time you look at it.
Of course, if more subtle is your preference then it works beautifully for that as well. There are so many different combinations you can create and also some additional inserts like I used in the background from Reindeer Prance Layering Set. I cut one in gold metallic and one in cream and offset them just a bit in the background.
I also cut an extra "Merry & Bright" part and trimmed off the edges to layer for the sentiment and adorned the front with 2 colors of poinsettias that I cut from Shapeabilities Layered Poinsettia Etched Dies.
The best part is how it folds flat for sliding in an envelope!
