JustRite Friday Challenge #44 - Color Challenge
I was a little perplexed with this week's challenge at JustRite Inspiration?? I could not for the life of me think of what to do with these colors. Then, it hit me today when I was do laundry and I picked up these jeans with brown stitching on the pockets and THAT WAS IT!! (Needless to say, I didn't finish the laundry -- lol) Here are the colors so you can see what I'm talking about:
For the sentiment, I chose a center from JustRite Seeds Of Kindness 1-5/8" and accented with a rust Spellbinders Large Petite Scallop border and a little shading with matching COPICs. I think this is one of my favorite cards so far?!? TFL!!
I bought this pocket stamp from the Heartfelt Creations booth a few months ago at a local craft fair and hadn't been inspired to use it yet. I love this pocket!! Here's my take on it:
The paper is Core'dinations and it is perfect to replicate denim! Just a little sanding on the edges is the perfect touch to make it look more authentic. I had trouble getting the brown stitching to show up and I don't have a sewing machine (yet) so I came up with a great solution! I started by stitching with my white Sakura pen and THEN I went back over with the brown one. The white stitching showed up a lot better but the brown went with the color scheme.
Next, I stamped an image from JustRite Plant A Little Love 3-1/4" in Momento Rich Cocoa ink on white paper. I stamped a total of 5 times (3 for the main images and 2 for added layers). I colored with my COPICs and popped them as shown. I also added a little brown Ultra Fine Flower Soft and Gold Stickles to the the centers.
