MY SHERI CRAFTS CHALLENGE #126 - Valentine

This week, over at MY SHERI CRAFTS CHALLENGE, Sandy has chosen a Valentine theme and all you have to do is use at least ONE heart on your project. It doesn't have to be a Valentine and I guess my card could be one OR maybe not necessarily?? It seems like I have done SO MANY Valentine's Day projects that I thought this one would look more like a wedding/anniversary type card. Maybe it's because I did it in silver and gold instead of pinks and reds -- I don't know?? I rarely know what I'm really going to end up with when I start - LOL!

I knew I had the Spellbinders Love Locket D-Lites die so I started by cutting it out of silver. Then I decided to make the locket gold so I cut it again (the silver one tore when I took it out of the die anyway). Next, I found that scrap piece of gold and white paper and decided to cut it with Spellbinders A2 Curved Borders One and also with the silver scrap.

The sentiments are from JustRite Antique Valentine Tags One. I stamped the first one in black and the second one with Tsukineko Delicata Gold ink. A simple ribbon, paper flower and a few pearls finish this one off nicely!

Hi Sheri, I love your card. The love locket is so pretty. I do not know why I have not noticed that die before. It is so pretty and I love all the detail work on the heart locket. Using the silver and gold just made your card incredibly elegant.

Gorgeous card Sheri! Love that paper, and the way you cut the card out! The heart locket and key is the perfect touch! Gorgeous bow as well! :)
Hugs,
Sandy.

Beautiful card Sheri.
I hope you don't mind but I may lift this idea. Lovely background you have used too.

Love your card, Sheri. I enjoy seeing the A-2 Curved Border dies, they just add that "special" to a card.
